The Hippy Place
""You're Inn at
The Farm"
$14-125/per night depending on accommodation - family rates available
Our rustic EcoHostel is located within The Ecovillage Arts and Culture Center here on The Farm. Though it has since been updated, the original hostel building was constructed from scrap army tents and recycled building materials from the early Farm days. Every effort has been made to retain the authenticity of this historical building - except for the addition of indoor plumbing and electricity!
Van-life camping on the ground in designated areas, or on a covered tent platform, in your RV, or in our schoolbus. “The Buddha Bus” has a queen bed and a queen futon couch.
All campers have access to our outside solar showers & composting toilets. No kitchen or access to main house, but get access to the basement facility, a cool (beat the summer heat) recreational space with flush toilet and laundry and free Wifi. There is a common area with picnic tables and fire/grill pit. No individual campfires.
Surrounding the hostel are examples of regenerative design: edible landscaping, ponds, rainwater catchment, and natural materials buildings from cob and strawbale to recycled and native woods. On-site power is provided by a large solar electric array, and all water wastes from the hostel are biologically treated by our constructed wetlands! Nearby there are beautiful hiking and riding trails, a disc golf course, and our local swimming hole.
